Cantus Vocum Chamber Choir was founded in 1995 by its current conductor, Chad Stride. Cantus Vocum translates as "the musical sound of voices". This twenty voice chamber choir has quickly been recognized and prasied for its musical artistry. Members of CVCC are auditioned on an annual basis and currently represent professions of law, dentistry, education, engineering, information technology, and real estate. Repertoire spans from Renaissance to the Twenty-First Century. While the choir performs mainly classical repertoire, they also include folk, spirituals, and light popular culture selections in their programming. To this end, Cantus Vocum is continually producing innovative programming to cover a broad spectrum of musical tastes. Cantus Vocum is also vigilant in their programming of works by Canadian Composers.

CVCC has performed in St. Paul's Cathedral, London, England; Beaumont Hamel, France; Ryelandt Hall, Brugge, Belgium; Cologne Cathedral, Cologne, Germany and for an International Choral Festival in Gouda, The Netherlands. In July 2004, CVCC completed a successful ten day tour of Italy, with performances at the church of San Nazaro, Milan; St. Mark’s Basilica, Venice; Church of Santa Maria de Ricci, Florence; St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican City and at the church of SS. Vincenzo e Anastasio, Rome. Cantus Vocum was a finalist in the 2006 CBC National Radio Competition.
